My new friend Mirya tagged me to answer some questions. I had a great time with her and Katie here yesterday. Anya and Katie play very well together and Mirya and I got to know each other better. Katie and Anya both did not want Katie to go, but after a few tears Anya said she has to come back over later. Here’s the tagged question/answer session…
What were you doing ten years ago?
Let’s see…10 years ago I was 20, almost 21. Obviously, I was dating Travis and I was starting my senior year in college at Auburn University Montgomery. I even went summer quarter and I’m pretty sure I was taking Spanish 1, 2, and 3. I was also working at Suncoast, which I loved.
Favorite snacks:
Usually I love snacks, however, right now in this pregnancy I have not had much of a craving for snacks. When I do though, I love bbq chips and orange juice, Ranch flavored Wheat Thins, caramel anything, and Danish Wedding cookies.
To Do List:
Finish the laundry.
Jobs I have had:
1. Concessions at the movie theater
2. Sales clerk at movie rental store
3. Scorekeeper for Sporting Clay tournaments
4. Sales clerk at movie selling store
5. Assistant Manager at a Photo Lab
6. Dolphin Photographer
7. Front desk receptionist at a Neurologist office
8. Admin Asst. for insurance agency
9. 7th and 8th grade English teacher
10. Photo Lab Tech
11. Production Assistant for WXFX
I think that’s most of them. My favorite is my current job though and that’s Mommy!
Places I have lived:
1. Opelika, AL
2. Montgomery, AL
3. Orlando, FL
4. Las Vegas, NV
5. Henderson, NV
6. North Alabama
Bad Habits:
I’m a nail biter. I also have a tendency to over-react to things. Travis says I worry too much. I used to rescue stray dogs, until Travis told me he didn’t want me doing that because it was too dangerous.
5 Random Things people may not Know:
1. My grandfather was a paratrooper in WWII and received 3 purple hearts.
2. My college graduation present was my first SLR camera, a Nikon N60.
3. I have written a children’s book but too scared to send it off to be published.
4. I was one of 40 accepted to Julliard in NYC for theater in 1995! I didn’t get a scholarship, but I was accepted to the school, which I thought was cool, and that alone was enough for me!
5. I have a craving for sashimi, which is a type of sushi; I really like California Rolls! I also prefer Thai and Japanese cooking to Chinese food any day!

Wow! What an interesting life? I sound so boring compared to you. lol! I’m sure you and your family are extremely proud of your grandpa. Doug and I were introduced to California Rolls and we thought they were really good. On the way home from work, he’ll pick up a pack from Publix for supper. Yummy!
It was good seeing y’all the other day. Poor Anya, I felt so bad having to leave. Y’all take care and have a wonderful weekend.
