Travis and I met 17 years ago this past Saturday! Who knew how my life would change that night he came to see “Forrest Gump” at the theater I was working at with his friend Michael…to this day I still can hardly tell you what Michael looks like because it was instant with Travis! I can still remember locking eyes with him the second he walked in the door and smiling at him. He had to wait in the lobby for the theater to be cleaned and while they were at the video games, he kept looking back at me. So, I kept smiling at him and obviously I was watching him the whole time. He finally came over and started chatting with me. He came out of the movie 3 times to talk to me some more and then came out after the movie to give me his phone number. I had already written mine down! :) He still carries that piece of paper in his wallet to this day! He calls it his get out of jail free card, and it pretty much is! :)
We had a really busy weekend, without a lot of romance, but it was still good. I had a yard sale Saturday morning and it did really well this time! Then, Travis’ mother came to town, which was really nice, but that’s why there was no romance really either. We went shopping with her to buy some clothes for Anya and got Chinese food for dinner. Then, Sunday morning Travis had to cut the grass because it kept threatening to rain. Travis’ Mom left around noon and we watched Ramsey’s Best Restaurant on Netflix, then I went grocery shopping and we had dinner with Shane and Christen and their son Aiden last night. Anya and Arwen had a ball playing with Aiden! It was a great weekend and funny thing was Travis’ mom made a comment about how we still seemed so in love – and I have to say YES WE ARE! I look at him and he still just makes me melt! :) Soulmates…
Okay, enough with the sappy love fest…in other news, we had some great play dates with friends this past week… Anya had a ball playing with her buddies Rylee and Dereck from school. They also had a younger sister, Baylee, who became instant friends with Arwen – they played so sweet together and Arwen rarely has a friend her age to play with, so it worked out great. Baylee’s just about 8 months younger than Arwen but they played so good together. Here’s a few photos…

The girls also got to play with the slip and slide this past week, which they also loved! Anya’s friend Henry, Luke, and Noah joined us for the festivities on Monday…here’s a couple of pics of the future Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models…

Anya also got to stay at her friend Katie’s house this past Friday for a slumber birthday party…stay tuned for a few of those photos! :)

Yes, Travis and I went to the 1225am showing last night of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2″! It was fantastic! It actually started at almost 130am though because at 1147pm the power went off and it took them almost an hour to get it back up and running. It was worth the extra wait though…all the Twilighters that think Edward and Bella are better…I hate to tell you, but this girl is ALL Harry Potter – I like the Twilight saga but for me there is no comparison honestly – and as many of you have known that I have been a Harry Potter fan for quite some time now, I have to say that the Deathly Hallows part 2 was absolutely perfect! Loved every second of it! And I’m going to make some fans quite displeased but for me the Harry Potter series is even better than Star Wars – gasp! :)
In other news, we will be heading out of Cullman in August to begin our new adventure in Texas! We are excited, nervous, and a little sad…but trusting that this is part of the plan for us and our lives! :)
