So, I’ve been lucky the past few months that I have really been into reading some great books. I guess it started back when I was reading “Watchers” by Dean Koontz. Then, I got on a Dean Koontz kick and read “The Taking”, “Odd Thomas”, “Forever Odd”, and “Brother Odd”. Then, I was waiting for another book that I’d be really passionate about, in the meantime I read “Shopaholic Ties the Knot” which was fun. Then, I saw the preview for the new Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana movie called “The Time Traveler’s Wife”. Its based on the book of the same name by Audrey Niffennegger. Awesome book! I plan to finish it before the movie comes out and then Travis and I are going to see it as partly an anniversary date and partly for my birthday. We have to combine events sometimes because we rarely get dates away from the girls, but that’s okay. The anniversary I’m speaking of is our 15 years! We will have been together – 15 years. Our first date was July 30th 1994. I digress…”The Time Traveler’s Wife” is a fascinating book and has just the right elements of mystery and romance for me. I highly recommend this book and I’m not even done with it yet!

I meant to post this a while back, but can’t remember if I did…which one is Arwen and which one is Anya? And per my friend Mirya’s blog, had to post some of my favorite Suummertime things, even though I’m one of those weird people that prefer Winter!
Is this Anya or Arwen?

So, I went with my friend April last night to see the new movie called “The Proposal”. Very cute movie. Its pretty much “While you were sleeping” meets “Green Card”, but a very cute movie. I really like Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is very easy on the eyes. And probably one of my favorite actresses of all time is in this movie – the great Betty White. I love her and she’s hilarious in this movie as well. I really admire her for mentioning about how the puppy in the movie was rescued from the local shelter, I’m sure she had something to do with that. Betty White is such an animal lover and a very devoted advocate for rescuing animals from the shelter. She’s truly an inspiration. Back to the movie, it takes place in Sitka, Alaska. I could live there, no problem. If they get a decent Internet connection, Travis could live there too, but I’m not too sure about that, because in the movie Sandra Bullock had to pay 10 cents a minute to use the Internet in the local Internet cafe and it was…get ready for it…a DIAL UP internet connection. Yeah, that would drive Travis crazy. Otherwise, it was a beautiful looking area.
