Okay, so not too much going on since we returned from Disneyland. Our friends back in Alabama, Jeb and Shannon, have two beagles and the girl beagle, named Bella, just had 6 of the prettiest beagle puppies! We might have to have one! :) I’ll leave it up to Anya! :) Travis’ ankle is still causing him pain every now and then, but for the past two weeks its been significantly better, then yesterday, he stepped wrong getting Anya out of the backseat, his ankle made a loud pop and its been aching him again the past two days. Hopefully, he just stepped on it wrong though and won’t have to get another cortisone shot, which he really hates because he says its painful. He started to say that I don’t know what its like…then he thought about the 6 inch needle that was put in my back 3 times when I had Anya! :) Anya has been doing well. She’s getting a bit over her shyness with other kids, but adults are another story, she’s good at saying bye, bye, but she doesn’t really like to say hi.
Chance and Anya are still the best of buddies though. Chance has been deemed Sir Chance around the house because he is a knight of a dog. He’s working on sainthood now.
As for me, I’m good. I still love being Mommy. I hate the housework part, but as for being Mommy and getting to play all days somedays, what job can be better than that? Anya has started getting into having her Daddy all to herself though, so on the weekends, I play second fiddle.
The weather here in Vegas has been great this past week. No need for heat or air conditioning, just a nice breeze that goes through the house.
Supposedly it’s supposed to rain on Tuesday though, yeah, we’ll see. Vegas is in their “supposed” monsoon season now. We might get a whopping inch of rain this month! Woohoo! Ya know some people get depressed in Seattle because of the gloomy weather, and I can understand that, but in a way it does get to be a bummer sometimes too, when you never get an actual rain storm. We never have a good downpour rain with lightning and thunder and heavy, streaming rain and that can be a bit of a downer too. Sometimes I don’t want to get out and enjoy the weather, but it sure can make you feel guilty, if you don’t. All the pollen out here is almost gone as well…and out here its not neon yellow like in the south, nope, its neon green pollen. Luckily for me, it doesn’t bother my allergies nearly as bad as the neon yellow pollen.
Okay, so I think that’s about it…Hope everyone enjoyed my ramble!
Oh, and movie reviews…
Rocky Balboa…3 stars…good movie, family friendly.
The Holiday…3 stars…good movie, ages 8 and up, fun chick flick!
Blood Diamond…4 stars…excellent acting in this movie. A bit depressing about the subject matter, but it should make you think twice about diamonds on anything or especially on any kind of jewelry. Ages 16 and up, its violent and the subject matter is mature. I liked this one as well as Hotel Rwanda, maybe Blood Diamond is even better because Leo Dicaprio and Djimon Hounsou are wonderful!
Okay, have a great week everyone!

Hi everyone. So, we returned from our trip to Disneyland last night and we had a great time. It was nice to get away for just a few days and Anya had so much fun at the parks. We decided to stay at Knotts Berry Farm Resort because we had stayed there before and they had a free shuttle that went to and from Disneyland, which was only 6 miles away, but still nice to have the shuttle and we didn’t have to worry about driving and paying for parking. We went to the Disneyland resort the first day, which was nice. We were surprised at how small the Sleeping Beauty castle was though. Compared to Cinderella’s castle at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World, Sleeping Beauty’s castle was like a miniature. It was pretty though, but very small. Now I understand why at the Magic Kingdom they tell you that all of Disneyland can fit into the Magic Kingdom’s parking lot. There is something to be said about going to the original park though that kind of started it all. It was really good park, and the weather was great for us while we were there. Anya’s first ride was the Alice in Wonderland ride, which she has no fear of any ride at all! She was wanting to ride the roller coasters even, saying “ride, ride”! She also rode Peter Pan’s flight, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Dumbo, the Carousel, the Haunted Mansion, and Winnie the Pooh. The next day we went to the California Adventure park and rode Mike and Sully to the Rescue, which Anya loved that ride, the Flik’s Flyers, and Heimlik’s Choo Choo. We didn’t stay too long at the California Adventure park because there wasn’t as much for her to do and we were all tired. It was fun though and we had a great time. She got to meet Snoopy at our hotel and he even came to tuck her in for the night on Wednesday. She also got to meet Mickey, Pluto, Pooh, Eeyore, and The Little Mermaid. She loved Pooh the most for some reason, and she doesn’t even watch Winnie the Pooh. Unfortunately, Mr. Incredible was on a mission and was not available for little Anya to meet, but you know how it is to be a super hero. She still loves Mr. Incredible though. Be sure to check out the photos!
