Check out the new photos of Anya in her Auburn Costume! Her Great Grandmaw got this for her last Christmas and it finally fit her, so its her Halloween costume this year. She had a great birthday party and got lots of great gifts. Thanks everyone! Right now, I have a headache, it couldn’t possibly be from listening to “The Incredibles” for the 40th time. “The Incredibles” is Anya’s latest obsession. And while its better than Elmo we know this movie backwards and forwards now, primarily because Anya only likes the action parts at the beginning and end.
We are about to make some Pasta soup for dinner so hope everyone had a great weekend!

So, Anya had to visit the doc today for her 2 year well check. She did great! She weighed in at 29.5 lbs (with shoes on) and is 35 inches tall. She only cried a little when the doc stuck the tongue depressor in her throat. I can’t blame her, I hate when they did that to me too. She also only had to get 1 shot today. And she did so good! She didn’t even cry or whine or anything about it, so we are super proud of her! She got a blue lollipop for being so good too, so now she has a lovely blue mouth. That’s our girl!

So, Anya turned 2 years old this past Saturday! It was quite the event! Her party is this Saturday the 14th, but this past Saturday held much fun for her! My Aunt and Uncle from Opelika came out to celebrate with us, which was a big surprise for us. We ended up picking them up at the airport around noon and then we came home while Anya napped and chatted. Then Anya got up and opened all her presents from Mom, Daddy, Granny, Grandpa, Aunt Judy and Uncle Woody. She got a train set, an easel, a tricycle, a leap frog phonics set, a book, coloring books, an outfit, Mr. Potato Head, Shrek/Shrek 2, and a floating art desk for the bath tub. She also had a Care Bear birthday cake. Then we ventured out to Red Rock Canyon where Anya got to see the donkeys and did not want to leave the donkeys. They were right along the side of the road and some people were feeding them. Anya wanted to pet them, but of course we didn’t let her. She was crying when we left though because she really liked the donkeys. Finally we went to our favorite Thai restaurant and yes Anya loves Thai food. She had fresh spring rolls with chicken and cucumber, pad thai noodles, crab rangoon, and chicken. They even brought her some Thai Coconut ice cream with a candle in it for her birthday! She did well blowing out the candle too. All in all we had a great day, but its hard to believe our beautiful, intelligent little girl is now 2 years old!

So, I discovered my space the other day and found several of my old high school friends that I haven’t seen or talked to in years. So, it is very strange seeing what these people are up to, where they are, and so on. I managed to find one friend that I had been looking for for years named Mouse who was in CCPAC with me. I finally found him and its great to hear from him again because we also worked together at Premiere Video a long time ago. He also knew Travis and so I’m really excited to hear from him again. Its a pretty interesting place, my space. Its something for the 40 and under crowd for sure, but interesting nevertheless.
