Just a reminder that to the right towards the bottom of the page is a link for Anya’s Photos so be sure to check out the cutie’s photos!
Well, we finally got Season 1 Disc 1 of “House” on DVD from Blockbuster. We’ve watched almost the whole disc and although we watched them out of order I have to say that “House” is an excellent TV show. Hugh Laurie is the main character, a Doc named Gregory House and he is the whole reason to watch the show. By far he’s the most outstanding actor on TV in my opinion. On to Tahoe. Tahoe is a dog for adoption at the Henderson Animal Shelter. He’s a border collie and so sweet. Not since Shasta has a dog affected me this way. Shasta was my favorite dog for adoption at the Montgomery Humane Society, when I was a volunteer there. She really bonded with me and although she did finally get a home, I still miss her and wish I had been the one to adopt her. I’m going to try and convince Travis to meet Tahoe this weekend. Although I doubt we will adopt him. We don’t have enough space out here. We only have a large patio and as much as Chance would love to have a friend of the furry variety, I just don’t think we can adopt Tahoe, but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to get him a home. Needless to say, he’s a great dog and I really hope and pray he gets a home. Nothing real exciting going on here this weekend. Anya and I went to a puppet show this morning at the library because she participated in their reading program this summer. They had door prizes and Anya’s number was 618. They called 610, 616, and 619, but tomorrow they are having the big drawing for a trip to Sea World San Diego so maybe we’ll win that one! I’m having a Moms Nite Out Sunday with some of my playgroup friends. We are going for Pizza and chit-chat which will be good for me and give Anya her Daddy and Chance all to herself! Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for reading my blog!
Anya turned 22 months old yesterday! She’s eating a hershey’s mini kiss cookie right now too. Quite the little girl my daughter! She’s wearing her Thunderbirds airplane outfit today that her Grandpa bought for her even before she was born! We got 3 comments as to how cute she looks in it today as well. She said Peek Boo today too! Not Peek a boo but Peek Boo. She also has been counting 3, 2, 1. Yes, backwards but she does know the numbers too because we got her the bathtub numbers and letters and Daddy has been working with her on them every night. She knows A and B and 1,2, and 3 really well. She gets C and 3 confused because they sound and look kind of similar. I’m working on planning her birthday party now too. I’m going to do a Halloween party the second or third weekend in October for her. She has several little friends so we will invite them and have everyone come in costumes. I’m thinking Anya will be a black cat this year, but Travis suggested she be Scooby Doo and Chance should be Shaggy! We’ll see!
So, here begins another week. I don’t like Mondays because Travis has to go back to work! Oh, well I guess he has to make money for us. I really think the government should pay stay at home Moms, but alas no checks come in the mail from them to me! We pretty much stayed home this weekend, which is what is normal during the summers here in Vegas. We went to Fry’s for Travis to buy a new video game and I’m proud of him because I think this is the first new game he’s bought since Christmas. We got Anya a lollipop there too that she just loved. We went to Applebee’s for lunch and tried to rent the first disc of House Season 1 on DVD from Blockbuster but its been out for over 3 weeks now. I think I will have to try another Blockbuster location.
Chance has been doing good too. He woke me up 3 times last night because he has this camel complex where he likes to drink and drink and drink his water. Of course I’m the goofball that put his water in our bathroom so of course it wakes me up because the door to our bathroom is right there near the bed. Needless to say I filled the bowl to capacity last night and this morning it was empty…I guess he just loves water, as long he’s not in it getting a bath that is!
Testing out the update category about the mongrel as well. Chance also has his own website on dogster.com.
